| The company has been running since 2002, firstly as DSC Video and then changing to DSC Media on becoming a limited company in 2007. However, we have been involved in taking film and video since the 1970's. Managing Director Dave Collins works as a full time cameraman and editor, bringing in other crew as required for sound, lighting or multiple camera shoots.
Dave is Qualified as a Master Member of the Institute of Videography (IOV), as well as being a Qualified Member of the Association of Professional Videomakers (APV). He has passed the IOV's Camera Craft, Sound and Lighting Courses. He has also undergone the Intermediate and Advanced Premiere Editing Courses with Swanrose Training.
Previous to becoming a full time videographer, Dave spent many years as a Commissioned Officer in the RAF, where he was an instructor and training designer, and achieved qualification as a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel & Development. Latterly he acted as the project officer for a series of RAF training videos. He then worked for a multimedia company as a training designer, producer and director of training videos and multimedia programmes, prior to setting up his own business. The company has several ongoing relationships to produce regular training and promotional materials for well known local companies and prides itself on producing cost-effective yet high quality films.
